Designed and manufactured in New Zealand to deliver uncompromising performance in all types of logging applications. Professionally designed and built, these grapples are for the high volume application that demands the best. Huge capacity, quick acting, powerful action and long life are just a few features to improve your throughput.

Overview

  • High Strength Steel. High strength alloy steel is generally used throughout the frame and jaws for long lasting durability.
  • Pins. These are induction-hardened alloy steel. All pin joints also have either heavy-duty hardened steel or high specification plastic bushes— significantly lengthening pin and bearing life.

  • Built Tough. Felling head jaws are made of high-strength alloy steel for maximum durability with the SWITCHBACK™ web feature offering strength in all directions of force.
  • Jaw design is optimised to perform in all areas of loading, sorting, shovelling or bunching with overlapping jaws that close up tight to allow operators the ability to easily hand single, smaller stems
  • Wear Shims. Shims are fitted to all high wear areas for reduced body wear, smoother and quieter operation.

  • 360° Continuous Rotation. High-torque hydraulic motor positions the head precisely for rapid positioning. Built-in cross port relief protects the hydraulic system even with heavy loads. Heavy-duty slew bearing for reliability.
  • Internal Routings. Hose connections and supply lines are protected inside the frame, away from the possibility of damage.
  • Hydraulic Cylinders. All high pressure cylinders are precision made heavy-duty wall construction with heavy duty hardened steel or composite plastic bushes in all pivots. This benefit delivers durability and maximum closing power reliability. Bolted glands offer both durability and serviceability.

  • Easy access bar release valve for chain replacement or maintenance.
  • Saw Bar assembly is super strong, fits common bar chain lengths and saw bar cylinder is mounted away from the chain to prevent premature failure
  • Saw bar oil lubricates saw bearing with variable oil flow adjustment and the cutting speed is automatically adjusted to suit chain cutting load.
  • External flag indicates when bar is home.

  • Access Panels. Bolt-on access panels protect the internals, but allow easy serviceability in the field.
  • In-the-Field Servicing. All grease points, motors and other serviceable components are easily accessible in the field with standard hand tools. Service can be performed quickly, from one position, minimizing downtime.
  • All common spare parts are available ex stock for same day dispatch.
  • Standardised fit up with various setup options and links available.
  • Optional hose through or non-hose through rotators.
